Contact.io 2025 Recap

Last week, the ActiveProspect team wrapped up an incredible few days at Contact.io 2025, where hundreds of performance marketing leaders came together to talk tech, tactics, and transformation. From compliance updates to call optimization to the future of outbound engagement, this year’s Contact.io conference delivered high-value conversations across every corner of the call ecosystem, and we were proud to be right in the thick of it.

Our team brought a real-world perspective to two of the event’s most talked-about conversations, spotlighting how performance marketers can stay ahead in a call-driven world that’s moving fast toward smarter tech and stricter compliance.
In one standout session, The Call Connection: How Top Media Sites Drive High-Intent Phone Leads, Ruben Ugarte, GM of Home Services at ActiveProspect, shared the stage with top media and publishing execs to unpack the power of high-intent editorial traffic. His insights focused on how brands can tap into click-to-call opportunities from major media partners, without cutting corners on quality or trust.
Ugarte broke down what it really takes to stand out in the publisher world: tailoring offers to editorial environments, tightening compliance across the funnel, and having the tech infrastructure to scale efficiently. For marketers looking to turn premium traffic into real conversations, this session delivered a roadmap grounded in experience and results.

Later on, Matt Fraser, GM of Insurance at ActiveProspect, joined a panel of industry leaders for AI, Compliance & Calls: How Conversational AI & Compliance Are Changing the Inbound/Outbound Landscape. With the recent end to the FCC’s proposed 1:1 consent ruling, Fraser offered a grounded look at what pay-per-call marketers still need to do to future-proof their strategies.
He emphasized that success in this new landscape isn’t just about adapting to regulation, it’s about embracing a consent-first mindset as a core business advantage. From leveraging AI to optimize call routing to deploying tools that protect both brand and consumer, Fraser made it clear: performance and compliance are no longer separate goals; they’re two sides of the same coin.
Of course, no conference is complete without a little off-the-clock connection. After a packed day of panels, the ActiveProspect team kept the momentum going with an evening event designed for deeper connection. The Lead Gen Lounge, held at Bar AC in downtown Denver, offered attendees a chance to unwind and keep the conversation flowing, this time over premium cocktails and bold Spanish-inspired bites.

From panels to parties, Contact.io 2025 reminded us that the future of lead generation lives where compliance meets creativity, and where calls become conversions with the right strategy behind them. Whether it was talking TCPA updates, AI-powered outreach, or how to optimize call flows from first ring to conversion, we left the Mile High City more inspired and more energized than ever.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this event a success, from the organizers and speakers to every attendee who stopped by our booth, joined a session, or shared a story.
For those who couldn’t connect with us in Denver, there is still time in 2025. Stay in the loop about where we are headed next, or connect with us now to be a part of our exciting future in the world of lead generation.
