As a company, ActiveProspect relies on the contributions of talented developers in the open source community.  One project we have benefited from is Merb.

We were saddened to learn that the author of this project, Ezra Zygmuntowicz, recently passed away.  When we heard he left behind a 4-year-old son and that a memorial fund had been created for him, we were moved to support the effort.

As the father of a 4-year-old son, this really hit home for me. I just can’t imagine how hard it is to lo lose your dad at that age.

ActiveProspect is making a contribution to the fund and is also matching all the contributions made individually by ActiveProspect employees.  We encourage others, especially those who have benefited from open source projects such as Merb, to also make a contribution.
