ActiveProspect participated in the Brains & Brews Trivia Night for Good for the second year in a row. The event was organized by ChickTech Austin and benefits the non-profit that helps girls and women succeed in STEM careers. Proceeds from the event will help fund 100 girls attendance for their high school event in 2018.

The event was held at the beautiful Live Oak Brewery on a balmy Thursday night in Austin. The friendly competition included two teams from ActiveProspect – Brain Friends, and Brain Enemies. The questions were themed around the intersection of technology (What does LAMP stand for?) and women (who was the first woman to run the marathon?), as well as a round of matching female CEOs to their corresponding companies.

While women in STEM are the real winners, we do have to give a shoutout to our Brain Friends team which placed 2nd for the second year in a row. In addition to some powerful brains of ActiveProspect employees, the team included ringer Ed Toutant who was a winner on Jeopardy! and Who Wants to be a Millionaire.  Any team that can take down that type of pedigree is a force to be reckoned with, but ActiveProspect vows to return next year to claim the title!

There was one clear winner from ActiveProspect however. Client Success Manager Courtney Webb won a raffle for an evening at Urban Axes. Perhaps she and some coworkers can replay our epic quarterly axe-athon.
