Come network and learn with the best and brightest of Austin’s marketing scene this week. 512 Interactive, an Austin meetup group for online and performance marketing professionals, holds its 2015 kickoff event Wednesday, Feb. 18, 6-8 p.m., at ActiveProspect headquarters.

We’ll start with a networking reception 6-7 p.m., offering light appetizers and complimentary drinks. At 7 p.m. Matt Silk of mobile and social marketing software company Waterfall will present on “Mobile Messaging’s Role in a Cross-Channel World.” Matt will share how marketing through text messaging should be at the center of any cross-channel marketing strategy.

Consumers are adopting new ways to communicate with brands via their mobile phones, but many brands are still missing critical points of engagement within their strategy. Matt will review proven tactics and advice that can be implemented today and share results from successful 2014 campaigns.
